high street

I’ve been watching as the recession takes hold and more and more shop windows are whited out. In each instance there’s a different technique for application - the whitewash is sloshed on dabbed about or swirled around - and afterwards there are purposeful and accidental inscriptions. The high street is ghosted: firstly by the translucent paint, and then by the traces of those who’ve passed through these interiors.
